Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breast
  • 1 jar Alfredo sauce
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 whole rotisserie chicken
  • 1/2 cup buffalo wing sauce
  • 1 box penne pasta
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Cook the penne pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook until browned, about 5-6 minutes.
  4. Add the buffalo wing sauce to the skillet and stir to coat the chicken. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  5. In a large bowl, combine the cooked pasta, chicken, and Alfredo sauce. Stir until the pasta is well coated.
  6. In a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, add half of the pasta mixture. Top with half of the shredded mozzarella cheese and half of the shredded parmesan cheese.
  7. Repeat the layers, starting with the remaining pasta mixture, then the remaining mozzarella cheese, and finally the remaining parmesan cheese.
  8. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Remove from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  11. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot.
