Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breast
- 1 jar Alfredo sauce
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 whole rotisserie chicken
- 1/2 cup buffalo wing sauce
- 1 box penne pasta
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Cook the penne pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook until browned, about 5-6 minutes.
- Add the buffalo wing sauce to the skillet and stir to coat the chicken. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked pasta, chicken, and Alfredo sauce. Stir until the pasta is well coated.
- In a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, add half of the pasta mixture. Top with half of the shredded mozzarella cheese and half of the shredded parmesan cheese.
- Repeat the layers, starting with the remaining pasta mixture, then the remaining mozzarella cheese, and finally the remaining parmesan cheese.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot.
