High Protein Soybean Besan Chila

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Soybean
  • 1 cup Besan
  • to taste null Salt
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 1 tablespoon Oil

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, soak the soybeans in water for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  2. Drain and grind the soybeans into a fine paste using a blender or food processor.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the besan, salt, and a pinch of water to make a smooth batter.
  4. Add the ground soybean paste to the besan batter and mix well.
  5. Gradually add the remaining water to the batter and mix until a smooth, thick consistency is achieved.
  6. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of oil.
  7. Once the oil is hot, pour a small amount of the batter into the pan and spread it evenly to form a circular shape.
  8. Cook the chila for 2-3 minutes or until the bottom is golden brown.
  9. Flip the chila over and cook for another 2 minutes or until the other side is also golden brown.
  10. Repeat the process with the remaining batter to make more chilas.
  11. Serve the high protein soybean besan chilas hot with your favorite chutney or sauce.
