Japanese-Style Chicken Teriyaki

Ingredients

  • 1 1/10 lb chicken
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 cm grated ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 green onions
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine soy sauce, sugar, rice vinegar, and grated ginger. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes.
  2. In a large skillet or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of sesame oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add the cooked chicken to the saucepan with the teriyaki sauce and toss to coat.
  4. Serve the chicken hot, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.
