Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 oz cinnamon butter
  • 1 4/5 oz light brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 8 slices soft bread
  • 2 medium eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 4/5 oz granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 0.71 oz unsalted butter
  • 2 1/10 oz cream cheese
  • 0.88 oz icing sugar

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together 70g of softened cinnamon butter, 50g of light brown sugar, and 1 tablespoon of cinnamon until well combined.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together 2 medium eggs, 60ml of milk, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
  3. Dip each of the 8 slices of soft bread into the egg mixture, coating both sides evenly.
  4. In a shallow dish, mix together 50g of granulated sugar and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon.
  5. Coat the egg-coated bread slices in the sugar and cinnamon mixture, pressing the mixture onto the bread to ensure it sticks.
  6. Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  7. Place the coated bread slices on the skillet or griddle and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
  8. While the French toast is cooking, prepare the cream cheese icing by mixing together 20g of softened unsalted butter, 60g of room temperature cream cheese, and 25g of icing sugar until smooth.
  9. Once the French toast is cooked, place it on a serving plate and drizzle with the cream cheese icing.
  10. Serve warm and enjoy!
