Ingredients

Method

  1. 1

Season the chicken breast on both sides with paprika, salt, pepper, garlic, and chili flakes.

  2. 2

Heat a skillet over medium‑high heat, add a thin layer of oil, and allow the oil to shimmer.

  3. 3

Place the seasoned chicken breast in the hot pan and sear for about 4–5 minutes per side, or until the exterior is golden and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (165°F).

  4. 4

While the chicken cooks, rinse ½ cup rice, combine with 1 cup water in a saucepan, bring to a boil, then reduce to a low simmer, cover, and cook for 12–15 minutes until the water is absorbed and the rice is tender.

  5. 5

Steam 1 cup broccoli florets over boiling water in a steamer basket, covering the pot, for 4–5 minutes until bright green and crisp‑tender.

  6. 6

Transfer the chicken to a cutting board, let it rest for 2 minutes, then slice it into strips.

  7. 7

Plate the sliced chicken alongside the cooked rice and steamed broccoli, and serve immediately.
