Simple Moist Chocolate Cake

Ingredients
- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 3/4 cups granulated sugar
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare two 9-inch (23cm) round cake pans by greasing them and lining the bottoms with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, whisking until smooth.
- Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Remove from the oven and let cool in the pans for 10 minutes.
- Transfer the cakes to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Once the cakes are completely cool, you can frost and decorate them as desired.
