Ingredients

  • 12 oz linguine
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cup milk
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp parsley

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the linguine according to package directions until tender, about 9 to 10 minutes.
  2. While the linguine is cooking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks, until it is no longer pink, about 5 minutes.
  4. Add the diced onion to the skillet and cook until it is softened, about 3 minutes.
  5. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.
  6. Stir in the butter until it is melted, then add the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 30 seconds.
  7. Sprinkle the flour over the beef mixture and stir well for 1 minute.
  8. Slowly pour in the milk, stirring constantly to avoid lumps. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 3 to 4 minutes, until it thickens.
  9. Remove the skillet from the heat and stir in the shredded cheddar cheese and grated parmesan cheese until they are melted and the sauce is smooth.
  10. Drain the cooked linguine and add it to the skillet with the cheese sauce. Toss everything together until the linguine is well coated.
  11. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  12. Transfer the linguine to a serving dish and sprinkle with chopped parsley.
  13. Serve hot and enjoy!
