Ingredients
- 12 oz linguine
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp butter
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 small onion
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 cup milk
- 1 cup cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp parsley
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the linguine according to package directions until tender, about 9 to 10 minutes.
- While the linguine is cooking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks, until it is no longer pink, about 5 minutes.
- Add the diced onion to the skillet and cook until it is softened, about 3 minutes.
- Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.
- Stir in the butter until it is melted, then add the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 30 seconds.
- Sprinkle the flour over the beef mixture and stir well for 1 minute.
- Slowly pour in the milk, stirring constantly to avoid lumps. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 3 to 4 minutes, until it thickens.
- Remove the skillet from the heat and stir in the shredded cheddar cheese and grated parmesan cheese until they are melted and the sauce is smooth.
- Drain the cooked linguine and add it to the skillet with the cheese sauce. Toss everything together until the linguine is well coated.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Transfer the linguine to a serving dish and sprinkle with chopped parsley.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
