Make this one first.

We put the most-saved version first: Arsenio Eats’s. These Nashville Hot Mozzarella Sticks are extra crispy on the outside and molten on the inside, coated in a spicy‑sweet hot oil that delivers a fiery kick. Freezing the sticks before frying ensures maximum crunch, and the quick brush of hot oil gives them their signature heat.

  • 25 min
  • Serves 3
  • 9 ingredients

The only one of the 3 with low-moisture mozzarella and breadcrumbs.

Ingredients

  • 3low‑moisture mozzarella
  • flour
  • 2eggs
  • 1 1/2 cupsbreadcrumbs
  • oil
  • 1/2 cupoil
  • 2 tbspcayenne pepper
  • 1 tsppaprika
  • 1 tspgarlic powder
  • 1 tbspbrown sugar

How it goes

  1. Slice the low‑moisture mozzarella into ½‑1 inch sticks, lightly dust them with flour, and freeze for 1 hour.

  2. Dip the frozen mozzarella sticks into the beaten eggs, coat with breadcrumbs, then dip again in eggs and breadcrumbs for a double coating.

  3. Heat oil to 350 °F and fry the mozzarella sticks straight from frozen for 2–3 minutes, until golden, crispy, and puffed; do not overcrowd the pan.

  4. While frying, combine the hot oil, cayenne pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and brown sugar to create the Nashville hot oil.

  5. Immediately after removing the sticks, brush or toss them in the hot oil while still steaming.

  6. Serve right away with ranch dressing.

How this comparison works.

Every recipe here comes from a creator’s own video. ReelsMeals writes it down from the caption and the voiceover, and publishes it with the creator named and the original linked. When three or more versions of a dish from at least two creators are saved, the dish gets a page like this one. Reposts and the same video saved twice count once.

Times and servings come from the saved recipe cards and may be estimated. Ingredient names are matched loosely, so chicken thighs and chicken legs both count as chicken. We don’t rank them by taste: the version shown first is the one ReelsMeals cooks have saved most. Last updated 5 November 2026.
