High Protein Edamame Dip

Recipe by Alex Hall on InstagramAdded 8 November 2026.

  • Serves 4
  • 9 ingredients

5 minutes to prep, 5 to cook. A quick, high‑protein edamame dip that feels like a light mousse thanks to cottage cheese and a surprise ice‑cube trick. Bright lemon, garlic, a hint of chili, and fresh mint give it a fresh, savory kick, making it perfect for a balanced lunch or snack on busy days.

Method

  1. 1

Boil the frozen edamame beans for about 3 minutes, then transfer them to cold water for 30 seconds and drain.

  2. 2

Place the cooled edamame, cottage cheese, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, chili flakes, and the ice cube into a blender.

  3. 3

Add mint leaves to the food processor (as seen in the video).

  4. 4

Blend until the mixture is smooth and silky, adding more ice or water if needed to reach a mousse-like consistency.

  5. 5

Transfer the dip to a serving bowl, sprinkle with seed mix for crunch, and serve with rice cakes, crackers, or raw vegetables.

Stop the blender and scrape the sides.
Add seed mix just before serving
Sprinkle the seed mix on the dip right before serving.
