Ingredients

  • 4 fillets cod
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp chili
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  3. Place the cod strips on the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 1 inch of space between each fillet.
  4. In a small bowl, mix together the minced garlic, softened butter, chili, freshly squeezed lime juice, and honey until well combined.
  5. Brush the garlic butter mixture evenly over the cod strips, ensuring each piece is fully coated.
  6. Season the cod with salt and black pepper to taste, adjusting the amount according to your preference.
  7. Bake the cod in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until it is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  8. Remove the cod from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
  9. Serve the garlic butter cod strips hot, garnished with additional lime wedges and chili flakes if desired.
