Chinese New Year's Dumplings

A traditional Chinese New Year's dish, these dumplings are filled with a mixture of pork, ginger, garlic, and scallions. They are boiled and served with a dipping sauce.

Ingredients

  • 2 cup Dough
  • 1 lb Pork
  • 2 inch Ginger
  • 3 Garlic
  • 1 Scallions
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Sesame Oil
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper

Instructions

  1. Combine flour and salt in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Gradually add warm water to the flour mixture and knead for 10 minutes.
  3. Divide the dough into small balls and roll out each ball into a thin circle.
  4. Place a tablespoon of pork mixture in the center of each dough circle.
  5. Fold the dough over the filling and press the edges together to seal the dumpling.
  6. Repeat with the remaining dough and filling.
  7. Bring a large pot of water to a boil and cook the dumplings for 10-15 minutes.
  8. Serve the dumplings with your favorite dipping sauce.
