Turkish Chicken Wings Recipe
These Turkish chicken wings achieve a smoky, charred flavor without a grill, thanks to a yogurt‑based marination and tomato‑paprika blend. The result is tender, flavorful wings that are perfect for a quick dinner or a party spread.

Servings
Ingredients
- 6 3/5 lb chicken wings
- 1 cup plain yoghurt
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 3 garlic cloves
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 lemon
- salt, to taste
- black pepper, to taste
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp chilli flakes
- 1 tsp dried thyme or oregano
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp ground coriander
Instructions
- 1Preheat your oven to 374°F fan‑forced (410°F conventional).
- 2Using a sharp knife, remove the pointed wingtip by cutting from the joint, then slice through the skin separating the drumette and wingette. Make two slits across the wingette. Alternatively, buy them already cut as wingettes and drumettes from your butcher and simply make the slits.
- 3Whisk together the yoghurt, olive oil, tomato paste, crushed garlic, honey, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, salt, black pepper, paprika, chilli flakes, dried thyme or oregano, onion powder, garlic powder and ground coriander until smooth.
- 4Add the chicken wings and toss until fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for 1–2 hours.
- 5Arrange the wings on a large non‑stick baking tray or line with baking paper and bake for 45–50 minutes, turning once halfway through, until the edges are charred and the meat is cooked through.
