Ingredients

  • a pinch Saffron Threads
  • 2 7/10 oz Carbohydrates (e.g., flour, rice)
  • 1 1/2 oz Dough (for wrapping kebabs)
  • 1 4/5 oz Butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the carbohydrates, dough, and melted butter until a smooth dough forms.
  3. Divide the dough into 4 equal parts and shape each part into a long, thin strip.
  4. Thread the strips onto skewers, leaving a small space between each piece.
  5. Brush the kebabs with a little bit of oil and season with salt and pepper.
  6. Grill the kebabs for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are cooked through and slightly charred.
  7. Serve the kebabs hot, garnished with a pinch of saffron threads.
  8. Rest the kebabs for 5 minutes before serving to allow the juices to redistribute.
  9. Optional: Serve with your favorite Middle Eastern sides, such as hummus or tabbouleh.
  10. Note: Traditionally, camel meat is used in this recipe, but you can substitute it with lamb or beef if desired.
