Ingredients
- a pinch Saffron Threads
- 2 7/10 oz Carbohydrates (e.g., flour, rice)
- 1 1/2 oz Dough (for wrapping kebabs)
- 1 4/5 oz Butter
Instructions
- Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
- In a large bowl, mix together the carbohydrates, dough, and melted butter until a smooth dough forms.
- Divide the dough into 4 equal parts and shape each part into a long, thin strip.
- Thread the strips onto skewers, leaving a small space between each piece.
- Brush the kebabs with a little bit of oil and season with salt and pepper.
- Grill the kebabs for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are cooked through and slightly charred.
- Serve the kebabs hot, garnished with a pinch of saffron threads.
- Rest the kebabs for 5 minutes before serving to allow the juices to redistribute.
- Optional: Serve with your favorite Middle Eastern sides, such as hummus or tabbouleh.
- Note: Traditionally, camel meat is used in this recipe, but you can substitute it with lamb or beef if desired.
